This trail just plan rocked. My most gracious guide for the day asked I not give out the trail's name on the website but it is a public and legal trail within the southern portion of the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. Here is a link to a map of the vicinity.
This is one sweet trail. This trail was quite divergent from the trails I have ridden in Southern California with mostly buff soil with beautiful scenery everywhere. I often found it hard to keep my eyes on the trail. The route we did was for the most part an out and back. This is all singletrack with a few slightly rocky areas along the way. There are many pristine water falls and crystal clear pools. These combined with dense forest made for some near surreal riding. I would say that this place is great for everyone, from beginners to expert. It would be challenging in a few spots for beginners and downright fun for intermediates and experts.
We rode this on a weekend and encountered quite a few hikers I'm told it is pretty vacant on the weekdays.
