So I really had no business going on this trip. I had just come off of an ankle injury that combined with holiday grubbing and a general state of laziness had landed me in the somewhat cardio-challenged, overweight slowpoke category. I was in no condition to knock out back-to-back days of riding across the Grand Canyon state. The idea of this trip had not even come up until Christmas Day when strange things starting being afoot in my email inbox. Emails were exchanged, phone calls were placed, wives were irritated (at least one) and before I knew it was January 10th and Jerry, Bill and I find ourselves heading eastward for what would turnout to be a pretty cool road trip. We all made some new friends, caught up with old ones and did some good riding in Phoenix, Sedona and Tucson. Follow the links on the Tucson sunset below for the day-to-day notes.
