What an amazing MTB Road Trip! I had a bunch of use it or lose it vacation days piled and I was not about to give back any vacation days. Other than a handful of set days, things were pretty wide open. When it was all said and done I had spent 24 days out and about in the higher country of Arizona and Utah.
I started the trip out with a drive out to Flagstaff where I had the only reservations of the whole trip. I spent a week here and made a point to hit a lot of "new" to me trails.
More goodness in Flagstaff and my wife joining in on the MTB vacation
Day seven was spent moving the RV to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon were we would stay for a handful of days. My longtime friend Bill joined us on the Rim.
Day 12 was spented moving the RV from the North Rim to Navajo Lake, Utah. This area is within daily striking distance of numerous marquee trails.
Bill had to go back to adulting so I was left to my on devices for the remainder of the trip.
The legs are getting tired but the soul is getting full by this point in the trip. When I pulled the plug to head for home I felt lacking for nothing from this trip. It was simply amazing.
